Quite a stretch there between frets but I'm lovin' her.
The name is a cross between your prior profession and the gal at the post office.
Took her for a trip today to a once simple street now turned into a posh shopping avenue for the folks with very disposable income. At the end of the street is the last hold out of an old time music man.Plays everything under the sun and repairs them as well.Of course there were some McSpaddens there for sale and another finer one for repair but he fell in love with Cindy calling her sturdy and true to tone. We can all appreciate that some instruments don't feel so delicate and for many of us, they certainly don't need to be. He put her thru her paces, found no anomalies and we took her outside to play. Cindy earned me my first cup of coffee this afternoon (thank you Yuppie w/the Starbucks high) Triple espresso it was for me.
Been a long time since I have played on any street. Been having delightful flashbacks each day w/her outside. Will be taking her to the Chicago Blues Fest this wk end and will see if i can get BB King to sign her. He signed an old one for me in the 70's. Johnnie Winter on Friday night and Bonnie Raitt in July. Will send ya pics as she makes her rounds certainly :))
Ya know,i read a few things on various blogs about your dulcimers. They weren't the most positive reads. I will make certain to add to those blogs keeping your work alive.
The only suggestion i can think of is to thin out the sound board and shorten the frets...but then they wouldn't be yours.Personally, I believe i can take this one on road trips and not worry about her.
She comes from good stock, thank you so much Terry.
